So after about a year of discovering my love for art by accident of photoshop contest; I have finally decided to try some traditional media stuff. This is a quick experiment with Acrylics. I have no idea what I am doing :P I really think that learning digital/traditional in tandem will help both skills grow at a greater rate, was a lot of fun to push some real paint as well.

Thanks for viewing. :D

YAAAAAAAAAAA buddy! old fart = wise Guru of teh paints (in my eyes). You talk, I listen...and asks questions. I love real paints, its just real (even if mine is just plastic so far) and far more tasty. I have oils, I want to use oils, but for sake of practice i thought just blow through alots of acrylic to get quick/cheap stuff in. Also, cause i have a bird (cockatiel) i think oils might be bad without air :skull:

Life is good. Bro is good. Living the dream.... Ill have more for viewing soon. Ill be smiling for weeks, thanks for the comments and words of wisdom...and a few others :P !! Watching the horizon for your canvas goodness as well/

Cheers mate !!!

Bro, my 2 cents of old fart again... what if u continue it....this blue tint would be a great underlayer for a flesh tint( but still broken with adding a bit of blue)....haaa! your more or less the only one i comment on the technique,...but im pretty sure its because i trust a lot ur abilities... but as i figure out what u wanna tell with ur art...u can let me talk as a n old fart k? jejeje hug.: so just to come back at the technique i wnted to expklain..... when u create a flesh tint, gettting it enougt light by adding the white, then add a 'micropoint" of blue, or greenish blue and melt it with withe fleshy tint,roughly....basically ull get the face getting out of the canvas"/// i rarely paint with flesh tones on a blue background (maybe i just have some problems with the blue , that maybe i want u to try ift for me! ...blahblah...i go paint right now and the funny thingis that maybe i will still think of what i said her for my own use....must create a powerful tint but with some smooth atmosphere...and only the blues are able to give that...and the canvas im using is "weird" 60x120 cm...im painting it vertical....thats pretty much the kind of format i used to work 9 years ago...wheni painted on wood plancks... cheers///and ???u got some oils too ? to show us?
What da fuk ur good little bro. Other thing that totally kik my brain is the fact that u put some shapes that are filling the blank space quite "automatic" (i say this better exact term than "abstract") and they are pretty much some cousins of the one i do....that d be called to "put the shit where it belongs" inmy language if u allow me to stay in my excite enjoyment of today...hahahaa..

Dont hesitate with the blendings bro. U need a more messy palette for ur "true painter attitude i think.

:D it's just 8" x 10". I did another (that i might post later) that was much bigger and I realized I gotta keep things simple for the time being. Thanks for the love. Cheers.
